Experience at Heimtextil Exhibition 2022: Nature and Sustainability in Textile Trend
-
Despite the pandemic causing the Heimtextil Exhibition 2022 to be transferred from winter to summer, we were excited to attend as a table textile business and connect with designers, textile creators, and furniture creators from all over the world.
One trend we noticed was the emphasis on nature and sustainability in textile design. Exhibitors showcased fabrics made from unique materials such as banana bark, and we saw how textile was colored with onion shells. These eco-friendly fabrics were not only sustainable, but also showcased the ingenuity and creativity of designers in the industry.
The use of natural colors and patterns in textile design was also prevalent, with earthy tones and natural patterns reflecting a growing desire among consumers to bring the beauty of nature into their homes. It was inspiring to see how the industry is incorporating sustainability and nature into its products.
Despite the changes to the exhibition schedule, we appreciated the opportunity to connect with other businesses and learn about new trends and innovations in the industry. We look forward to attending Heimtextil Exhibition 2023 and seeing how the industry continues to evolve.
